Applications Available for 2024 Environment Committee Grants Local community groups are eligible for the grants, which range from $100 to $500 and are targeted to projects that tackle climate change. Wanted: A Little Free Library BuilderOur Henry Got Crops Farm in Roxborough is planning to establish a farm-related Little Free Library on site and is looking for a cooperator to build one in the next month or so. The LFL should measure roughly 32"x18"x 25" and the builder has the freedom to design it as they wish. Between eight and 12 cooperator hours will be credited once the project is completed. Forging a Path for Black DirectorsTheresa “Tressie” Souders (1897-1995) was the first African American woman to write, direct and produce a silent feature film, “A Woman’s Error" (1922). While the script survived, the film, which depicted the race, class and gender issues of African Americans, was lost. Tressie was a self-taught filmmaker.
